Several of the countries where the Norwegian Refugee Council operates such as Afghanistan, Syria, Ukraine and Iraq, experience winter weather that most of us will recognize. Many displaced families spend the winter in tents, makeshift shelters made of thin metal sheets, or in houses without heating.

When winter brings freezing temperatures, snow, and biting winds, it is vital that displaced people receive help to stay warm.
